Press release from: Vierling Communications GmbH

Ebermannstadt, Germany. Vierling, the international quality and innovation leader in GSM gateways, is now shipping its new digital GSM gateway Ecotel ISDN2-120 lite worldwide. This dual-channel gateway is intended primarily for small- and medium-sized companies that want to reduce the cost of making calls to GSM networks. Ecotel ISDN2 120 lite is based on the proven Ecotel ISDN2-1x series. With its streamlined hardware and software configuration, the GSM gateway pays for itself very quickly while ensuring maximum voice quality and reliability.

Fast payoff for small- and medium-sized companies
“Ecotel ISDN2-120 lite is helping us to bolster our product line for smaller applications. We now have a GSM gateway that is suitable for companies with 50 or more employees”, noted Anton Glöckner, Director Product Line Mobile Communication at Vierling. “Ecotel ISDN2-120 lite pays for itself very quickly particularly with the savings it generates when making calls to mobile radio networks. The hardware and software configuration does not include components that are required mainly by larger companies. Ecotel ISDN2-120 lite will allow us to offer the market-leading technology from the Ecotel ISDN2-1x product line with maximum voice quality, reliability and PBX compatibility for an attractive price.”

All possible connection options
Once it is connected to a company’s PBX, Ecotel ISDN2-120 lite takes calls that are normally routed from the fixed network to mobile radio networks and replaces them with more cost-effective “in-network” mobile-to-mobile calls. The gateway has two GSM channels, slots for two SIM cards and advanced routing software. The gateway is connected to a telephone extension or the central office portal of the PBX via a BRI interface. The routing can be configured on the PBX or the gateway so that all standard connection options are available.
