Time out under a ‘Pergola Heaven’
markilux ‘pergola’ systems are available in no less than three models which range from the petite to the highly prominent.
Those who wish to be able to use their patio or garden all year round should give some thought to acquiring a good sun and wet weather protection system. The markilux range of pergolas puts no less than three options at your disposal already. And a wide range of accessories guarantees you can enjoy many cosy hours under your awning roof.
For many, the garden and patio have turned into their favourite spots. Here you can relax, tend the garden, meet family and friends. Provided, of course, there is effective protection against sun, wind and rain.
This makes it cosy
Al fresco living comfort is offered, for example, by the ‘pergola’ system created by awning specialist markilux. It is available in no less than three versions: as ‘pergola’ for large gardens or open areas, as a ‘pergola compact’ for the narrower or smaller patio or as ‘pergola stretch, the new maxi version. A selection of LED lighting options can create a pleasant ambient lighting effect. On top of that, vertical blinds, side blinds and heaters ensure a cosy atmosphere. These protect you against wind and rain. This modern awning system has the advantage that it can be fitted to almost any façade. A track system to transport the cover and support posts fixed to the ground give additional stability and make the awning highly wind resistant. The posts - except in the case of the ‘pergola stretch’ - can also be held in place by ballast boxes.
From little to large
Apart from in their dimensions, the three models differ in their use of technology, too. In the ‘pergola’ and ‘pergola compact’ models the cover moves in and out in a lateral guide track system. A cassette protects the retracted cover from dirt and damp. So as to be able to correct for uneven surface levels but also so that rainwater can drain off efficiently, the posts in these two models can be adjusted in height. They are suitable for patio areas of between 10 and 30 square metres.
The new maxi version
Whosoever, on the other hand, would like a sun and wet weather protection system with XXL dimensions, will find a suitable awning in the new ‘pergola stretch’. By virtue of a newly developed and extremely powerful drive system, almost 50 square metres can be covered by one awning. If several units are coupled together, it is possible to cover up to 175 square metres. The solar protection cover, which is protected by a coverboard when closed, is carried in and out by sturdy transverse profiles. As it closes, it folds up like a roof festoon. And so that one is always high and dry, the covers used in the system are waterproof. These three awning models allow patios and gardens to be transformed at will into an airy, protected yet cosy al fresco living area. They make it possible to enjoy many pleasurable moments under one's very own ‘pergola heaven’ all year round.
