After a year of forced telehealth adoption, many health care providers are wondering how they can maximize reimbursement for telehealth. This fast-moving webinar will reveal important information about how clinicians can get paid for telehealth. This live webinar (CME or CE 1 hour credit) will include group interaction, online readings, illustrative media, and automated assessment test grade. Marlene M. Maheu, Ph.D., Executive Director at TBHI will be hosting the presentation along with Dr. Shawna Wright, Associate Director of KU’s Center for Telemedicine & Telehealth to provide a quick overview of current billing issues relevant to all behavioral professionals working with US citizens. This webinar is designed to answer telemedicine CTP code and other telehealth reimbursement questions applicable for beginning and intermediate-level working in telemental health services.

Asked about the new webinar for telehealth professionals, Dr. Maheau said that the objective of the webinar will identify the recently released procedures and modifier codes for telehealth billing, during COVID-19 and post the national emergency. TBHI will help telebehavioral professionals avoid claim denials by delivering accurate information to legally and ethically bill telehealth sessions.

Dr. Wright has expertise with treating rural and underserved populations, and regularly advocates for telehealth expansion to increase behavioral health access and equity in her home state of Kansas. She serves on several statewide committees as a telehealth expert. Dr. Wright enjoys telehealth training and consultation with a wide variety of professional groups.
