Building a Successful Partner Ecosystem with the Cloud

PHILADELPHIA, PA & SAN FRANCISCO, CA – May 7, 2012 – Alteva, a leading cloud-based Unified Communications (UC) solution provider and subsidiary of Warwick Valley Telephone Company (NASDAQ: WWVY) (referred to as WVT Communications Group), today announced that Chief Sales Officer Louis Hayner will join other leading cloud executives from CloudTrigger, LLC, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Corent Technology, Inc., and NetSuite to discuss “Building a Successful Partner Ecosystem” at the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA)’s All About the Cloud conference in San Francisco, California, on Wednesday, May 9, from 2:00-2:45 pm pacific time.

Executives from independent software vendors (ISVs), resellers, platform and infrastructure providers, along with industry leading analysts, venture capitalists and media will gather to explore, debate and discuss all aspects of cloud computing. During his panel, Hayner, who was recently recognized as a 2012 Channel Chief by the technology channel trade publication CRN, will offer insights about how service providers can help partners take advantage of the cloud, how to build important partner ecosystems to maximize success, and what pitfalls to avoid along the way. In less than six years, Alteva has grown into North America’s largest enterprise hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (“VoIP”) provider, and has leveraged this position to expand its offerings to include a comprehensive suite of unified communications and hosted applications.

“As more software applications enter the cloud, newer market opportunities are created for cloud channels. However, problems arise when companies are not able to grow their business due to the lack of education surrounding cloud strategies,” said Hayner. “Despite the various commonalities and differences with partners, everyone has a place in the cloud ecosystem. Attendees will learn about the core principals on how to utilize their partners, the importance of channel education to help broaden expertise and technical background, and how to take advantage of the different technology distribution channels to help grow their business with the cloud.”

Last year, Hayner launched Alteva’s UC Sales Certification Program to help the channel develop its skills in solution selling. The certification program allows channel partners to learn how to position Alteva’s cloud based UC solution, expand their offerings, boost revenues and increase market share. As a result of Hayner’s sales leadership and the successful implementation of channel marketing strategies, Alteva led cloud communications revenues at WVT Communications Group to increase by 226% in the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared with the same period in the prior year, along with the Company’s backlog of business customers for UC services to reach a record level at the end of the year.
