Could Mark Zuckerberg be forced to change the “domain” of the world most famous social network facebook.com ?

Mark Zuckerberg claims rights over newly registered domain name “thefacebook.pw” (.PW meaning “Professional Web”) belonging to French web-entrepreneur Cyril Delencre and used for the new soon to be launched university-students’ EXCLUSIVE social network.

A new website dedicated to colleges’ facebooks will soon be launched as the one and only social-network available exclusively to university students. Problem is, Mark Zuckerberg (through attorneys) is now claiming rights over Cyril Delencre’s domain saying such name “thefacebook.pw” cannot be used and must be forwarded to M. Zuckerberg ASAP due to “trademark infringement”.

The French web-entrepreneur replied “there is no infringement here since, as everyone knows, Mark Zuckerberg’s social network website is no longer about university facebooks”, whereas Cyril Delencre’s new website called “thefacebook.pw” (.PW meaning “Professional Web”) matches exactly facebook’s dictionary meaning. Furthermore, facebook is not an adjective, it’s a noun! Therefore, the real question is: if a court of justice allows Cyril Delencre to use his legally purchased and registered domain “thefacebook.pw” will he also (eventually) be able to claim the world famous domain name “facebook.com” from Mark Zuckerberg altogether? Not likely, one might think at first, but it’s not that simple with trademark ruling nowadays…, this could be major..!

So far, only a few secret students have had the priviledge to see the inside job of the new EXCLUSIVE social-network “thefacebook.pw“, and this is what they’re saying: “This is an awesome website for us students”, “while browsing on the platform you really feel like you belong to The club“, “It’s ethical, very smooth and has new and brilliant features in it, we love this site”.

Cyril Delencre added “our website & app are encrypted in a way that students won’t be able to share what’s going on in the club with the outside world, and this is also the slogan of the website”: What happens in the facebook stays in the facebook !

The French web-entrepreneur says “people are getting sick and tired of seeing so much junk on the wall of their page, feeling like the ‘product’ of algorithms used by bloodless, money-grubbing freaks. Especially when you realise that you’re using the exact same site that lowlifes, sick-minded or even terrorists are using. The new “thefacebook.pw” has been created for beautiful people and by that we mean smart, ethical and hardworking minds whom enjoy playing even harder..” Says Cyril Delencre.

Now, will this have to be settled in a court of justice yet again for Mark Zuckerberg? We’ll soon find out..
