2wcom Systems’ FlexXtract in use at Deutschlandradio for DAB+ feed via satellite
2wcom FlexXtract DAB+ Distribution Extractor
DAB+ programs via a network of 27 satellite feed DAB+ TX-stations. Media Broadcast – the service provider for the DAB+ distribution – has chosen the FlexXtract DAB+ Extractor from 2wcom Systems GmbH for this task.
The DAB+ standard offers a much better sound and an improved quality in listening experience. Deutschlandradio is the first radio chain to launch its digital radio services via its own network.
The distribution from the studios to the DAB+ TX has been realized with a cost-effective and high-coverage satellite distribution network nationwide. The FlexXtract receives the SCPC MPEG2 transport stream and extracts the DAB+ ETI/EDI signal.
The FlexXtract combines a modern concept along with the latest processor technology, SNMP monitoring and remote access via a Web Interface. The 2wcom FlexXtract is absolutely reliable, runs 24/7/365 ensuring the highest quality and availability. “We are very proud to be up front in the latest technology of DAB+ distribution along with Media Broadcast and Deutschlandradio.
