RFmondial launches new DAB products at IBC 2019

Hannover, 06.09.2019 – RFmondial introduces the latest major release of the professional ContentServer Version R7 in its products as well as the feature upgrade incl. a fresh GUI and data service monitoring for its RF-DAB meas-urement and monitoring receiver.
The new DAB/DRM ContentServer R7 enables broadcasters to put audio content and attractive data services on air with ease while benefitting from the latest standard up-grades and a range of new productivity features. New features that come with the RFmondial DAB/DRM ContentServer R7 include, for instance, automatic Audio Loudness Normalization and Monitoring as well as additional IP-based Audio Streaming Source Interfaces. RFmondial uses the new R7 technology of RFmondial ContentServer as head-end solution for its DAB and DRM broadcasting products. They provide hardware, assistance with integrating the technology into virtual and cloud-based environment, and support services.
In addition, RFmondial launches its feature upgrade for the RF-DAB measurement and monitoring receiver with extended functionality. This includes a freshly designed HTML5 user interface with access to all measurement and monitoring parameters. The now included data service monitoring capability features a content-based alarm system for all available data services, namely Dynamic Label (+), Slideshow, Journaline, SPI/EPG and TPEG. Furthermore, additional measurements per subchannel include bit error rates before and after Viterbi including Reed-Solomon and audio errors. RF-DAB is a professional DAB monitoring receiver for transmitter, content and field monitoring. It features parallel full ensemble decoding of complete multiplexes including access to all audio and data services, as well as single frequency network (SFN) synchronization monitoring. „Its modular design enables flexible configuration for various specific ap-plications”, states Jens Schroeder, Managing Director of RFmondial GmbH in Hannover. RFmondial provides the complete DAB+ system solution for broadcast operation, consisting of DAB ContentServer, DAB monitoring receiver and DAB archiver.
