Successful campaign ' Believe in Thailand' promoted by TCEB

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) are expecting 720,000 MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) visitors to Thailand this year which will generate US $1.9 billion in revenue. Over the past two years, the MICE tourism in Thailand had grown tremendously. According to Akapol Sorasuchart, the President of TCEB, Thailand is now positioning itself as the new luxury MICE destination. This is due to the paradigm shift in the MICE industry towards luxury MICE activities.

The successful campaign promoted by the TCEB outlining Thailand’s potential known as ‘Believe in Thailand’ highlighted four strengths; professional services, world-class facilities and infrastructure, a diverse choice of destinations and countless business opportunities. TCEB believes Thailand possesses all of the key qualities for MICE events and particular Phuket and Koh Samui are being marketed as incentive meeting locations.

Confident that they can continue to authenticate Thailand as a great MICE destination, the new tagline ‘ Thailand Provides Inspiration for Your Business Success’ aims to promote the market in China for luxury MICE events.

TCEB believes that the combination of world-class facilities, unique Thai hospitality and the constant growing luxury accommodation market in Thailand will exceed the expectations of the luxury MICE visitors. Also, Thailand is able to offer luxurious destinations and services at a reasonable and competitive price.

“Companies have continued to hold events in Thailand and have now chosen destinations outside of Bangkok such as Phuket, Hua Hin and Koh Samui,” commented Chris Comer, CEO of Castlewood Group, a commercial real estate developer based in Singapore. “These destinations provide visitors with a captivating experience and unspoiled natural landscapes,” he added.

The 8over8 luxury hotel, a project by Castlewood Group, will be situated in Phuket, near the beautiful Bang Tao Beach and Laguna Resort. The 8over8 luxury hotel, which consists of 151 luxury suites and 19 exclusive units for stakeholders, will be scheduled for completion by the end of 2012.

Castlewood Group are a leading commercial real estate company based in Singapore. Castlewood Group's new luxury 8over8 hotel due for completion at the end of 2012 will be situated close to the Laguna resort in Phuket. It coincides with the launch of 8over8 hotels in Koh Samui and Bali
