Zug, September 2011 –WOLFFKRAN AG establishes itself in the rental and sales fleet of Baukran Logistik GmbH BKL, one of Europe’s largest crane logistics companies, with its top-quality tower cranes. The new customer, a professional full service provider in the crane leasing sector, represents a significant win for WOLFFKRAN.

BKL, as an international crane service company, is pursuing the objective of uniting the leading European crane manufacturers under one roof. “We want to be able to offer our clients the right crane for any construction site”, says Alexander Volz, Managing Director of BKL. “The prestigious WOLFF cranes have given us a targeted means of expanding our portfolio in the premium sector.”
The demand for high-quality cranes in the 100 to 300 meter tonne class is consistently high, especially in the Middle and Northern European market. WOLFFKRAN covers this market segment with the WOLFF 6031.12, a mature and state-of-the-art crane that enjoys a high level of demand in the market. “WOLFFKRAN cranes are renowned among purchasers for their reliability and durability, and among leasers for their rapid assembly and disassembly, and their efficiency in all load ranges – crane operators also appreciate them for their precise handling”, says Volz, who sees great potential for this crane in BKL’s product portfolio.

More than just a sales partnership

The latest addition represents more than just an enrichment of BKL’s product offering, however. “Single-source supply is a service philosophy we share with BKL”, explains Dr. Peter Schiefer, Managing Partner at WOLFFKRAN, with regard to the spirit of the new partnership.
A visible sign of our joint effort will be the official opening ceremony of the new BKL branch office in Frankfurt on the sixteenth of September, where a red WOLFFKRAN slewing tower crane will be visible on the BKL site for the first time, and will have a continued presence for some time to come.
There are currently 60 BKL cranes in operation in the metropolis on the Main. “We plan to increase our locally available fleet to 100 cranes short term”, says Volz. “Our strategy of offering high-quality products for demanding construction sites has proven just as successful in Frankfurt as it has in all our established locations.
WOLFFKRAN will therefore continue to play a substantial role in the expansion of our fleet of rental cranes.”
