SISTec Ratibad hosts fine arts competition and chess tournament

Sagar Institute of Science, Technology & Research (SISTec-R), Ratibad Campus hosted the RGPV nodal level fine arts competition and state level chess tournament at its campus on 30th September and 1st October, 2019. The Inauguration Ceremony started off with the ceremonial lamp lightning by Chief Guest - Mr. Sampat Upadhyay (IPS Officer), Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh (Principal SISTec Ratibad), Mr. Rahul Mishra (General Manager SISTec Ratibad) and Mr. Arun Verma (Sports Officer SISTec Ratibad).
The fine arts competition was held within the campus at various locations in categories of painting, clay modelling, poster making and rangoli making. The participants displayed full enthusiasm and showed their unique artistic arc. The first day ended with declaring winners from individual categories where the winners were awarded with a Trophy + Certificate and the runner-ups were awarded with a Certificate. The felicitation was done by Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh (Principal SISTec Ratibad), Mr. Rahul Mishra (General Manager SISTec Ratibad), Mr. Arun Verma (Sports Officer SISTec Ratibad) and Mr. Neelesh Mishra (Sports Officer SISTec Gandhi Nagar).
The chess competition went on for both the days which was conducted in seven rounds and participants from various districts took part in it. On the second day the valedictory ceremony for the tournament was organised where the Chief Arbiter Ms. Savita Srivastava and Deputy Chief Arbiter Mr. Ravi Srivastava declared the winners in both boys and girls categories. Top five participants from both categories qualified for nationals. Top three of them were felicitated with trophies and certificates during the ceremony by Heads of Department at SISTec Ratibad Prof. Ajit Shrivastava from Computer Science, Prof. Kshitij Yugbodh from Mechanical, Prof. Ashish Singhal from Electrical, Prof. Harvinder Saluja from Electronics & Communication and Prof. Swajit Singh Goud from Civil. Certificate distribution to the mentors from all participating districts was also done during the ceremony.
