Lampedo to sell Italian vintage design through Auctionata.com in October 2011

The specialized dealer in 20th Century furniture Lampedo will be organizing a first time online auction with Italian vintage design by important architects and designers such as Gio Ponti, Gino Sarfatti, Ettore Sottsass, Angelo Lelli and Ico Parisi. For sale will be furniture, lighting and objets d'art in glass and ceramic. Platform for this auction will be Auctionata.com the first real time online auction that holds a patent for its groundbreaking software technology. Also consigning to this event will be more than 15 international galleries and dealers from the United States and Europe. The concept by Auctionata of a transparent marketplace will allow the customer to have insight to which sellers he may be purchasing from.

Lampedo is also participating in a first online design auction this upcoming June 16 at 5pm CET with more than 18 international dealer providing over 300 lots of 20th Century design items on: http://www.auctionata.com/design

Auctionata is an independent start-up e-commerce company with base in Vienna, Austria. It is funded with over $2 million of seed capital from private equity and venture capital. Different from other market places Auctionata is defined entirely by its verified dealers and all other participants.

Lampedo based in New York and Berlin has strong experience in the fields of furniture design and applied arts. In the past it has already contracted important objects of design to public and private collections as well as US decorator firms rated in ELLE DECOR's A-List and in AD 100. Managing director Markus Winter has gained an excellent reputation by successfully working as an art dealer and gallery owner. In the past he already has curated exhibitions and published catalogues covering Italian design. The Lampedo collection covers a wide range of styles, beginning from the craftsmanship oriented 1900's and Art Déco, to the architectural designs of the 50's and conceptual living projects of the 70's.
