GoldFynch now lets you provide context to the tags you attach to your files with Notes for tags

GoldFynch, the cloud-based eDiscovery solution of choice for small law firms, has upgraded its platform-wide labeling system–known as ‘tags’–in its latest update. Tags can now be configured to ‘collect’ notes. When such a note-collecting tag is assigned to a file (or multiple files) it prompts users to enter text, either optionally or as a requirement. Tags with notes attached to them have an icon making them visually distinct, and they display their text when hovered over by the mouse cursor. Additionally, GoldFynch’s document viewer has a dedicated section to display the notes alongside the contents of files they are assigned to.

Notes for tags allow users to give context to their choice of tags during document review and store miscellaneous information relevant to the file(s,) while keeping the data easily accessible for uninterrupted viewing.

The update is one of many features that has emerged from the running conversation between the GoldFynch team and their community, and is another step towards the company’s goal of providing affordable and accessible eDiscovery that caters to the unique needs of the small law firm.

Mazira is a software company that specializes in data transformation. Their original focus was on building custom software for small and medium companies to help manage a large number of documents. Since then they adapted their search engine and timeline technology to meet a growing need, especially in the local market, for easy-to-use, automated software that didn’t require installation and training for users or involve extended sales processes. This became their flagship eDiscovery product, GoldFynch (www.goldfynch.com)

GoldFynch is an eDiscovery web service that is entirely cloud-based. It offers users a simple interface where they can easily drag-and-drop files (like PDF, MS Office documents, pictures, emails, etc.) that GoldFynch automatically imports, processes, scans, and indexes. Entities such as people, places, and dates are automatically extracted, and images of text are converted to computer-recognizable, fully-searchable documents through the process of OCR. GoldFynch’s pricing is simple, transparent and upfront, and it is by far the most affordable eDiscovery platform. Access to the pricing, and to the service, is available on the website without the need for talking to sales or an RFP. Pricing is based on a case’s volume, and GoldFynch allows users to effortlessly scale case sizes.
