Updates to deduplication services from eDiscovery platform GoldFynch
Ediscovery platform GoldFynch has streamlined its deduplication services with its latest update, continuing its drive towards promoting accessible eDiscovery through low-cost, all-inclusive pricing and systems designed for simplicity. The update gives users more control over the existing deduplication process, allowing them to identify and flag duplicate files in their cases. Such flagged files can be subsequently deleted, exported, produced, or manipulated using the platform’s various other systems.
There are no additional charges for using the deduplication system, falling in line with the exclusively volume-based pricing model that the Cloud-based platform follows, with no charge for uploads, data processing, OCR, or other eDiscovery processes like redaction, production, or unlimited case sharing with free accounts.
“There’s no reason why a user should be charged for working with their own data when they don’t need our assistance. It just made sense to provide them with the tools since they’d be able to work faster and more efficiently by themselves. So we made it a priority to give them control over the entire deduplication process, beginning to end.” says Anith Mathai, Head of Biz Dev at GoldFynch. “Along with putting out new features, we’re looking back at some of our older ones and asking ourselves ‘how can we automate these, and make them more accessible to our users?’”

Mazira is a software company that specializes in data transformation. Their original focus was on building custom software for small and medium companies to help manage a large number of documents. Since then they adapted their search engine and timeline technology to meet a growing need, especially in the local market, for easy-to-use, automated software that didn’t require installation and training for users or involve extended sales processes. This became their flagship eDiscovery product, GoldFynch (www.goldfynch.com)
GoldFynch is an eDiscovery web service that is entirely cloud-based. It offers users a simple interface where they can easily drag-and-drop files (like PDF, MS Office documents, pictures, emails, etc.) that GoldFynch automatically imports, processes, scans, and indexes. Entities such as people, places, and dates are automatically extracted, and images of text are converted to computer-recognizable, fully-searchable documents through the process of OCR. GoldFynch’s pricing is simple, transparent and upfront, and it is by far the most affordable eDiscovery platform. Access to the pricing, and to the service, is available on the website without the need for talking to sales or an RFP. Pricing is based on a case’s volume, and GoldFynch allows users to effortlessly scale case sizes.
