Lucid’s Kovid platform at IGCAR

Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) has purchased a license of Kovid – Lucid Software’s revolutionary imaging and analysis tool for Non-destructive testing.

It is learnt that IGCAR experts will utilize the software platform to analyze and manage NDT data from a number of techniques.

Krishna Mohan Reddy, CEO at LucidSoft said, “The NDT world has already started shifting. We’re talking to some of the leaders in infrastructure industries like Nuclear Power, Aircraft Engineering, Oil & Gas, and Industrial automation and everybody’s NDT inspection teams have the same problems. They are beginning to look towards software as a mechanism to provide them the necessary breathing room that alleviates their concerns quickly. After all, designing a software feature and implementing it is faster and cheaper than doing it with hardware.”

As a forward looking move, a common platform for multiple image processing modalities, Kovid would provide twin benefits to IGCAR as per the experts; reduce the cost of training technicians and enable seamless integration with different hardware and scanners.
