Lucid Software launches new product - Kovid iMav
Lucid Software Ltd., a specialized software company in the Non Destructive Testing space, today announced the launch of its second product line called Kovid iMaV. Kovid iMaV is a revolutionary 3D simulation engine that allows the NDT inspection team to prepare an optimized scan plan even before the actual inspection begins. The engine simulates behaviour of the scan beam on complex geometries. The probe movement can be simulated in 3 dimensions. This allows the inspector to ensure every last part of the Object Under Inspection (OUI) has been successfully scanned. The tool is already being used by Areva in Germany for their inspectors to optimize their testing and validation processes."Kovid iMaV3D is a powerful and usable modelling and analysis tool with real 3D representation. The tool has been pretty helpful. We've been able to plan and execute better inspections as we know in advance how to optimize our inspection techniques and shorten our pre-inspection planning dramatically." Said Guenter Guse from Areva.
A webinar has been organized on the 27th of January 2011 to showcase this tool. Madhusudan CP from Lucid said, "The tool has been designed keeping the inspection process in mind. The idea is to make it simple, very easy to use, and extremely flexible framework."
