19 February 2019, Cheyenne, WY — The many distinct advantages of working from home are appealing to health care professionals of all types, these professionals, rarely get an opportunity for professional training that answers their many questions about working from their own homes. They often are unsure of the legal and ethical issues involved, for example. Internationally recognized telehealth leader, Marlene Maheu, Ph.D., is scheduled to present a 1-hour webinar titled, “Telehealth Jobs from Home: Legal/Ethical Challenges/Opportunities" (https://telehealth.org/webinar/telehealth-jobs-from-home/). The webinar will broadcast on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific.

Today’s healthcare professionals are keen to understand the many ways to use technology to leverage their time and energy. Many are also excited about the possibility of working from home, where the commute is as short as going from the kitchen to their den.

“None of this is rocket science,” said Dr. Marlene Maheu, the webinar presenter and founder of the Telebehavioral Health Institute. She continued, “Very specific laws and ethical codes have to be followed when working from home, but they can be quickly learned. Anyone can work from their home. Many can also offer telehealth services when traveling if they have a stable Internet connection, the right equipment, an understanding of interjurisdictional issues and evidence-based telehealth treatment protocols.”

Along with this professional training, 1 hour of CME or CE is available for most professionals.
