GOEPEL electronic, worldwide leading provider of JTAG/Boundary Scan solutions compliant with IEEE Std. 1149.x and xyco technologies AG, ODM vendor and Intel development house with long-term experience in utilising modern x86 processors, have entered a strategic partnership within the frame of the global alliance program GATE™ (GOEPEL Associated Technical Experts). This step is intended to position GOEPEL electronic extending the existing support of the x86 architecture. For xyco technologies the partnership means direct access to the latest test technologies already during the development stage of new processor boards. In addition to new IP developments, implementations of JTAG/Boundary Scan solutions with particular emphasis on processor emulation tests especially for Intel platforms are in the focus of the cooperation.

Both partners strategically focus on joint developments and marketing of combined test and design IP solutions incl. software and hardware. Emphasis is laid on the VarioTAP® technology for processor emulation as well as the development of new modules for the integrated JTAG/Boundary Scan development environment SYSTEM CASCON™ in view of embedded systems. Additionally, xyco technologies receives direct access to new IP developments to being able to provide design and test services as one-stop shop.
