milesBoard - traffic information app-to-date!

milesBoard - traffic information app-to-date!

milesBoard - traffic information app-to-date!

Who hasn't experienced this:
you're stuck in traffic and 20 minutes pass until your Radio station talks about congestion - way too late. And frustrating.
So this doesn't happen anymore there's an iPhone app with which traffic conditions can be received in real time - all you got to do is participate.

And this is how it works:

Download the "milesBoard" app from the Apple iTunes store and start it every time you get in your car. The app regularly updates the location of your car anonymously to a server. From the data representations of traffic conditions are created and broadcast to all users.
This way, every user contributes to a system in which the most up to date traffic conditions are available to anyone.

That's not all though. "milesBoard" is also a game.

For the covered distance while the app is running, a user gets points. Those points can be used to rent space on virtual billboards that pop up on the map.
Billboards for Messages á la Twitter etc. This way every user can broadcast messages to friends and the entire world.
"Raffi was here!" is one of those messages in "milesBoard" and many ask themselves "who is Raffi?!" Find out!

milesBoard - a little bit of everything! And milesBoard ist easy!

"milesBoard" is an information platform for traffic. But it's also a game. "milesBoard" is a social platform like Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. And "milesBoard" is location based since it's always related to the current location, like foursquare. "milesBoard" is simple - no need to learn anything new. Just do what you always do:
Drive in your car!
The rest happens by itself - anonymous and at the same time to the benefit of all.
"milesBoard" is fun! Everyone wants to put a message on the billboard that's for instance in times square.

milesBoard - technology everybody knows and uses today

"milesBoard" uses GPS data from the iPhone. It sends the data via cellular network anonymously to cloud servers which analyse and compute the data and return it to all users. On the phone, the data is displayed in Google maps: green arrows for flowing traffic,
orange for slow conditions, and red for congestion. Everyone who participates with "milesBoard" receives data created from all other users - globally. Faster and more accurate reports on traffic conditions are hardly possible.

The idea of a neutral net

"milesBoard" is an idea of the neutral net, in which everyone simply by doing their routine, creates an added value. "milesBoard" offers manifold opportunities for a new kind of marketing and "milesBoard" is fun! "milesBoard" was conceived and developed by online in4mation GmbH - which has, for more than 10 years, been involved with internet technology.
