The AV54 flight will take off from the El Dorado International Airport at 10:45 pm on November 16th. Avianca became the only Latin American airline to operate at the Munich-Franz Josef Strauss International Airport. This new route will operate five times a week.

"We are proud to connect our travelers with this new destination. With Munich, there are now 110 destinations in 27 countries to which the airline arrives " says Hernán Rincón, CEO and Executive Chairman of Avianca Holdings.

"The new Munich-Bogota route of Avianca demonstrates the growing interest of European businessmen and travelers to get closer to our country. Germany is a very important market for ProColombia and we are sure that Avianca's effort to improve our connectivity will bring more business and rapprochement between the two countries, "says Flavia Santoro, president of ProColombia.

Avianca and Germany: The roots of Avianca are intimately linked to Germany. The original name of the company was SCADTA: Sociedad Colombo-Alemana de Transporte Aéreo, established in Barranquilla on December 5, 1919, because the founders and the first planes and pilots came from Germany.

Network in Europe: Avianca covers four destinations in Europe and completes nearly 50 weekly flights between Colombia and Europe connecting Bogotá, Cali and, Medellin with Madrid; as well as Bogotá with Barcelona and London.

We are the organization in charge of promoting nontraditional exports, international tourism and foreign investment in Colombia. Through our network of national and international offices, we offer support and essential consultation to Colombian business people. We do this through direct services to ensure the design and execution of internationalization strategies, which seek to make, develop and finalize opportunities for businesses.
