ilink presents telephone conference solution and telephone functions with Salesforce.com integration for IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5 in New York

Berlin, Germany—September 22, 2006—At the international IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5 launch event "Real-time. Right Now" on September 13 in New York City, ilink Kommunikationssysteme GmbH was one of ten IBM business partners to display solutions for the new Sametime version. ilink presented its telephone conference solution TeamCall Audio Conferencing and gave a preview of soon to be available telephony functions for Sametime.

“Lotus Sametime 7.5 is the first product to deliver a unified collaboration platform that includes instant messaging, Web conferencing and voice capabilities,” said Michael Rhodin, general manager, IBM Lotus Software, at the event.

TeamCall Audio Conferencing for IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5 allows to start planned and ad-hoc conference bridge based telephone conferences directly from within Lotus Sametime web conferences. TeamCall Audio Conferencing for IBM Lotus Sametime is designed to provide customers with a full set of audio conferencing functions without requiring them to leave their web conferencing context.

As a preview, ilink presented functions for one-click dialing of Sametime contacts, to open a popup window with information about incoming calls, as well as a call history display. The system queries an LDAP directory or a Salesforce.com database for contacts that match the incoming caller ID.

The TeamCall Audio Conferencing and telephony solutions for the IBM Lotus Sametime platform support a wide variety of phone systems including Siemens HiPath 3xx0/4xx0, HiPath 5000, and HiPath 8000, Alcatel 4x00, Avaya Tenovis Integral series, Avaya Definity G3 and Multivantage S8x00 series, Nortel Meridian1, Ericsson MD110, Cisco CallManager, and others. This wide coverage is especially beneficial to customers with diverse phone systems installed at different places who desire to provide a consistent service throughout their enterprise with a minimal amount of installation complexities.
