Popping the Questions: dropping knowledge is releasing exclusive film of the wedding of Smudo, lead singer of German hip hop pioneers, Die Fantastischen Vier
BERLIN (Wednesday, August 29): German hip hop pioneers, Die Fantastischen Vier, donate their questions to dropping knowledge (www.droppingknowledge.org). As the only camera team present, dropping knowledge was allowed to shoot the private wedding of singer Smudo and his bride Esther Müller.
All kinds of people from around the world, famous or not, are donating thousands of questions to dropping knowledge’s website. Some are collected in a series of specially filmed Question Commercials. The top 100 of all questions will be chosen for the Table of Free Voices to answer on September 9, 2006 in Berlin.
“Does the peace of one individual have to come at the expense of another?“ asked Smudo, aka Michael B. Schmidt, shortly after he tied the knot. His bandmate Michael “Michi“ Beck was interested in the gap between developed and developing nations: “Are we on the safe side of that gap?“. Thomas D. Dürr wanted to know “How can we make people find inner quietness and make them do something good for the world?“
