dropping knowledge introduces new online magazine “Questions” dealing with climate change

Following the success of the Table of Free Voices, dropping knowledge presents “Questions: Global Warming, Global Warning”, an interactive magazine. The magazine offers an exciting mix of stories, photography and video to draw attention to climate change and other pressing global problems. The web magazine is another reflection of dropping knowledge's question-oriented approach to social issues, also showcased by last year's Table of Free Voices in central Berlin. The “Questions” magazine, as well as the over 11,000 video answers from artists, politicians and experts from the Table of Free Voices are available at www.droppingknowledge.org

For the new magazine ”Questions: Global Warming, Global Warning“ the dropping knowledge team talked to experts, captured opinions and reported on projects dealing with climate change. Visiting Asia’s largest slum, Beijing’s biggest polluter, the World Social Forum in Caracas and hurricane-ravaged New Orleans, the magazine features stories from seven cities on four continents. It raises provocative questions from scientists, artists and social luminaries including Oscar Olivera, Sebastião Salgado, Shanta Chatterji, Anuradha Mittal and Fang Lijun.

Looking like a print magazine at first glance, the magazine connects editorial content with pictures and films in a new way. With just a mouse click, the user can navigate through stories, photos, videos and related links.The magazine was designed by Ralf Schmerberg, film maker and dropping knowledge co-founder, and Alex Marashian, former chief editor of the Colors magazine. New editions dealing with different topics of social change will be published in cooperation with new partners. The current edition was realized with the support of the dropping knowledge partner Allianz Group, a company currently looking at the implications of climate change.
