Canoo becomes GlassFish Portfolio Partner of Sun Microsystems
Basel, 12th August 2009. After becoming a JavaFX Showcase Partner of Sun Microsystems in the spring of 2009, the Swiss company Canoo Engineering AG is now also a partner in the open-source applications platform of the Californians.Canoo's UltraLightClient has proven to make Rich Internet Applications (RIA) considerably less expensive, more effective and based on pure Java code. After several JavaFX co-operation projects, it was only a logical step for the Swiss company to become an official partner, too, in Sun Microsystems' comprehensive open-source applications platform for the Internet. The GlassFish Portfolio offers a complete Java EE application server with support for dynamic languages that provides the base for the development and deployment of applications and services of the next generation.
As a cost-efficient RIA framework, Canoo's UltraLightClient interacts perfectly (but, of course, not exclusively) with the GlassFish platform and ensures in this way that the development of code for Business Rich Internet Applications becomes significantly simpler and quicker.
