MVTec Software GmbH, manufacturer of worldwide leading machine vision software, will found a support center for the USA and Canada until the end of 2006, most likely in the Boston area. Thus, MVTec’s software products HALCON and ActivVisionTools come closer to the American market.

MVTec’s innovative work is driven by a commitment to be the number one supplier in the world for sophisticated software technologies in machine vision. North America is one of the most important machine vision markets. Thus, MVTec US will further strengthen MVTec's commitment to this geographical region.

The responsibility of MVTec US will be to intensify existing cooperations with distributors and partners in the machine vision community. Thus, it will operate as a support center for the existing North American distribution companies. Its main objective will be to effect closer customer relations by supporting the distributors’ sales activities. Moreover, MVTec US will hold free distributors’ trainings, support the distributors at seminars and industrial shows, and accompany them at customer visits.

Unique selling points of MVTec’s software are leadership in many machine vision technologies and usability of machine vision software. MVTec's recognized support for distributors guarantees that these benefits are easily available for customers. MVTec US will provide support in the time zone of its US distributors and thus will help to further reduce the time to answer support request.
