3S Industries: New, elegant skylight for solar roofs developed with s: stebler

Lyss, May 15, 2009. 3S Swiss Solar Systems, a 100% subsidiary of 3S Industries AG, is collaborating with stebler glashaus ag to present a new skylight for MegaSlate® solar roofs. The elegant way the window is fitted opens up a multitude of design opportunities to bring light and sunshine into the home.

The new window was specially developed for the 3S MegaSlate® solar roof system. The new design not only enables the window to be fitted so it looks extremely attractive on the outside, but also offers a wide range of options for opening and closing. Builders’ dreams of more light and sunshine can now become a reality in the MegaSlate® solar roof too with this new window, which can be fitted in existing or new MegaSlate® solar roofs.

The benefit of the new window is primarily that it is designed to continue the visual look of the 3S solar roof. Thanks to an elegant all-glass look, the window fits in perfectly with the characteristics of the MegaSlate® solar modules that are arranged in a shingled array. The window experts at Stebler engineered a construction method which enables convenient window control and optimum room ventilation. The window is available in individually adaptable sizes up to 3 x 2 meters.

The MegaSlate® solar roof system from 3S Swiss Solar Systems is a complete or part roofing cover, taking the place of standard roof tiles. Certified by TÜV and tested for wind load, snow load and hail endurance, it provides optimum weather protection. The frameless solar modules can be fitted with ease and at speed. The new skylight, specially designed for this system, gives planners, architects and builders even better opportunities to esthetically integrate photovoltaics into a building.

The new skylight is being presented from May 15 to 24 at the 58th BEA Exhibition for Agriculture, Trade and Industry in Berne, Switzerland at the s: stebler stand (open-air ground, stand G6 017).
