Press release from: Matrix Comsec

Matrix, a trusted brand for Telecom and Security solutions, satisfies the communication needs of Healthcare, Banking, Manufacturing, Hospitality and Retail Chains with a wide range of solutions. The product portfolio includes innovative Unified Communication Servers, reliable IP-PBX, ergonomic User Terminals and intelligent GSM and VOIP Gateways. With such diverse range of solutions and products Matrix is serving a global customer base, spread across 50+ countries.

The bond between patient and doctor is built on trust and reliability. People find it difficult to connect with different doctors and share their grievances. Therefore, it becomes crucial for hospital authorities to bridge communication gaps between patients and the concerned doctors. Moreover, the healthcare units need to ensure that their branches are in sync with each other, enabling doctors to connect in case of emergencies, seek guidance and discuss critical cases.

One of the hospitals in Nigeria had the same requirement. Having branches in Nigeria, Abuja and Pour Harcourt, the authorities were seeking a solution that would help them bring clinicians working at each of these locations on a common platform. The owners wanted a smooth flow of communication between the employees of these three branches. They understood the importance of uninterrupted communication, and hence, were looking for a solution that ensures minimal maintenance problems.

Matrix, in association with Reliance Infosystems, designed a solution to fit the collaboration and multi-site connectivity needs of this Nigeria based fertility clinic. Three advanced communication platforms were deployed at the clinics to cater the professionals’ need of routing communication over latest IP technology. One platform sufficed the calling needs of around 120 clinicians at the clinic located in Lagos. Matrix SOHO IP-PBX was installed at the two fertility centers in Abuja and Pour Harcourt. The PBX streamlined communication between 28 clinic officials and helped them manage their routine operations effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, the need for proper and efficient call management was addressed with Matrix Digital Keyphones.

A brief overview of the case is as follows:

CHALLENGES
• Connectivity between Clinics at Three Different Locations
• Internal Communication Bottlenecks
• Proper Call Management
• Regular Maintenance and Monitoring of Communication Platform

SOLUTION
• IP based Communication Systems
• VOIP Connection between Three Locations
• Deskphones for Quick and Hassle Free Communication
• Web based Centralized Management

RESULTS
• Streamlined Internal Communication
• Enhanced Collaboration
• Easy Maintenance

“We, at Matrix, aim at engineering solutions that help different industries improve their communication infrastructure. Is Your Surveillance System Truly Secure - or Just Technically Functional?
In 2017, 123 police CCTV surveillance cameras in Washington D.C. were hacked and taken offline - right before a high-profile public event. The issue wasn't the camera. It was a failure of cybersecurity compliance. (Source: BBC) Imagine a scenario where a major supplier loses a multi-crore government contract in India because their CCTV cameras lacked a mandatory RDSO certification for use on moving coaches. In both cases, the cameras worked. But they

Are Smartphones the Next Surveillance Cameras?
As security threats evolve, so must the tools we use to respond to them. Fixed cameras, once the backbone of any surveillance system, are now only part of a bigger picture. Today's risks are dynamic, mobile, and unpredictable - and in many cases, they don't wait to happen in front of a network camera. Security teams know this reality all too well. Why STQC ER Compliance Matters for Network Camera Buyers in India
India's surveillance landscape is undergoing a significant transformation with the enforcement of new compliance regulations-STQC ER, PPO'24, and CRO'24. These frameworks, introduced by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), are designed to raise the bar for quality, cybersecurity, and trust in video surveillance products across the country. At the center of this transformation is Essential Requirements (ER), a mandatory compliance standard aimed at ensuring hardware-level security, robust firmware protection,
