“There’s something that happens when I pick up my acoustic guitar that somehow just takes me away into this creative songwriting thing” says Billy. “ I start playing and fifteen minutes later I have a song”.
Well, top that with his affinity to write summer songs and maybe we’re onto something with this talented artist. His current CD, THIS SIDE OF SOMEWHERE has gotten a lot of interest all over the world with heavy emphasis from Nashville industry executives.
He’s currently in the studio with 16 brand new songs aimed straight towards country radio and Billy says that he always wants to include a couple summer songs. Being from the small town of Big Rapids, Michigan and now residing on the northeast side of Detroit he’s seen his fair share of winter months with snow and ice so Summer is so important and celebrated in a big way.
