Country Music's WYCD, Billy Craig and the Downtown Hoedown
Destined to make downtown Detroit burst with his homestyle, chicken fried, guitar lickin’ fun. . . Billy Craig is gearing up for one of country music’s biggest events, the Detroit Downtown Hoedown!Jumping back and forth between band rehearsals and working in the studio, Billy will not only be performing at the Hoedown, but is also finishing up 17 brand new songs for his new CD release due out this summer/fall.
“I’m so excited to get in front of the hometown crowd to show them what we got!” says Billy. “I have an extremely smokin’ hot group of players and I can’t wait to get these guys in front of tons of people!”
Performing songs off his latest CD THIS SIDE OF SOMEWHERE, Billy will also be pulling out some of his brand new electrifying material and will hold nothing back to give this crowd something to scream for!

The 27th WYCD Downtown Hoedown has turned into one of country music’s premier outdoor music festivals in North America with over 800,000 people converging on Detroit on the weekend of May 15, 16 and 17. With such other notable artist as Willie Nelson, Lee Ann Womack, Rodney Atkins and The Zac Brown Band, people will surely to leave this event truly satisfied to their country core.
Billy Craig will be performing Friday, May 15 2009 at 7:00 pm on the upper acoustic stage.
