FOEM, the netlabel and talent pool, is hosting an international remix contest together with London producers Allez Allez and the Kompakt related Cologne label Boxer Recordings. The winning track will be released on a vinyl EP on Boxer Recordings. The contest is running from January 1st until March 31st 2009 on the FOEM website: http://foem.info
The track to be remixed is the vinyl debut track of Allez Allez. The duo, who also DJ, have already made big waves in London underground clubs, with an eclectic style of music. Hosting a blog www.allez-allez.co.uk with exclusive guest mixes from Hot Chip, Nathan Fake, Ewan Pearson and many more friends, they transport a new intention to music. Their first track to be released on vinyl, ‘Defeatist’, is a strong Electro House tune. Everybody is invited to accept the challenge and remix the music.

The remix EP will include the original mix of ‘Defeatist’ by Allez Allez, the winning FOEM remix(es) and a remix by Ricardo Tobar, well known in the international music scene, from James Holden’s label Border Community.

Boxer Recordings is a Cologne label, connected with Kompakt with a large group of supporters worldwide. Other artists on the label include Martin Eyerer, Rodriguez Jr, Delon&Dalcan, Kolombo, and Dusty Kid, who will also release a milestone studio album on 20th of April this year. The label sound ranges from Minimal Techno to Electro, Techno and House.

FOEM was founded with the aim to support talented artists for free, and to help them gain access to a worldwide audience. FOEM runs regular remix contests, open to all, together with international musicians. Some recent contests have involved artists Luke Slater, Emiliana Torrini, Robert Babicz aka Rob Acid, Martin Solveig and Gabriel Ananda.
