Thieme Publishers Expands Presence at the Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America
Stuttgart, New York – The Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the largest medical meeting in the world, provides attendees with the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in imaging research and technology from around the world. This year, Thieme is set to expand its presence at RSNA 2008, occupying three booths to present all its new offerings in the field. The 94th annual meeting takes place from November 30 through December 5 in Chicago, Illinois.Among the multiple titles by the publisher that will be on display during the event, standouts include Whole Body MR Imaging, by Ernst Rummeny, MD. The comprehensive reference covers the full spectrum of MRI while effectively combining theory with hands-on information.With more than 1,300 illustrations, the book effectively assists radiologists in producing and analyzing images. It is the perfect companion for radiologists looking to expand and strengthen their imaging skills.
The newly released fourth edition of Imaging of the Temporal Bone by Joel D. Swartz, MD, will also be featured during the event. This fully updated book features state-of-the-art imaging strategies for the evaluation of trauma and disease processes affecting the temporal bone and its intricate anatomy. More than 1,500 illustrations complement the text.
Cardiac Imaging: A Multimodality Approach, edited by Manfred Thelen, MD, and authored by an interdisciplinary team of experts in radiology and cardiology, is a 600-image strong atlas that provides an in-depth introduction to all imaging modalities used in diagnostic assessment of the heart and its functions.
All titles in the DX-Direct series will also be showcased during RSNA 2008. The series, which covers main subspecialties in the field of radiology, includes new additions such as Urogenital Imaging, by Bernd Hamm, MD, and Musculoskeletal Imaging, by Maximilian Rieser, MD.
