Archiving Solution for PC, NAS (QNAP, Synology), Raspberry Pi, Web and Mobile
The ecoDMS document management system (DMS) can be used on a local PC, in a network, as SaaS solution, on a NAS or Raspberry Pi.
The current version 16.09 (eleanor) of the ecoDMS client-server system is available for Windows, Ubuntu, Debian, Raspbian (Raspberry Pi) and Docker on the server side, including support for the matching NAS devices from QNAP and Synology. The interface can be installed under Windows, Ubuntu, Debian and MacOS. A web client for internet browsers and apps for smart phones and tablets with Android or iOS are also available.
As ecoDMS Archive is cross-platform and highly scalable, it can be integrated in virtually any IT infrastructure. As a client-server system, ecoDMS can be installed and used on various platforms. This allows virtually limitless access to the archived files and information.
In addition to the standard installation on a local PC or in a network, ecoDMS Server can be installed on a QNAP or Synology NAS with its full functionality. The ecoDMS archive supports those device types that allow container virtualisation via "Docker". ecoDMS provides the necessary Docker images for the QNAP and Synology "Network Attached Storages".
With an ecoDMS Server version that is particularly adapted to Raspberry Pi, the Aachen-based software manufacturer opens up an entirely new perspective for electronic document archiving to tech-savvy users. In combination with ecoDMS, Raspberry Pi is the ideal playground to implement an archiving solution. This installation mode is directed primarily at "playful" private users who want to manage smaller amounts of data.
The ecoDMS installation manual gives a detailed description of the required installation sources and setup steps for every supported operating system. All ecoDMS documentation is available from the ecoDMS website for free download.
