As of September 1, 2008, Anastasios Karagiozidis joins BASF IT Services as new Sales Director. His task will consist in further expanding business with customers outside of the BASF Group.

"The non-BASF market is and will remain a strategically crucial sector for BASF IT Services. We are glad to welcome Anastasios Karagiozidis as an adept IT industry expert and an experienced sales manager who will intensely push on business with new customers," says Dr. Ralf Sonnberger, Managing Director at BASF IT Services.

Before coming to BASF IT Services, Karagiozidis held a variety of executive sales positions at T-Systems Enterprise Services GmbH. The 43-year-old is trained as an organization programmer and, in addition to his university studies in Electrical Engineering and Business Economics at Darmstadt and Mannheim, he also holds an MBA in the area of Financial Services from the University of Wales.

In 1988 Karagiozidis began his career at a business consulting firm. He later moved to Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) where he led IT projects in Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. This was followed by various posts at debis Systemhaus in Frankfurt and at Systor AG in Basel, Zurich and Frankfurt. At T-Systems Karagiozidis ultimately advanced to take over responsibility for the area of New Enterprise Customers.
