BulbAmerica.com start selling OSRAM aluPAR 64 1000W Lamps
Unlike traditional PAR lamps, the reflector in aluPAR lamps is constructed out of aluminum instead of aluminized glass making them up to 50% lighter in weight. This makes for easier handling and lowers transportation costs. Currently, there is no other PAR lamp on the market with an aluminum reflector. With glass PAR lamps the reflector coating can degrade over time creating spill light from the back of fixture. This does not happen with aluPAR lamps due to the solid aluminum reflector. The beam shown is smooth and uniform.
BulbAmerica.com currently sells the following types: Vary Narrow Spot (VNSP), Narrow Spot (NSP) and Medium Flood (MFL). The Wide Flood (WFL) will be available in the near future. aluPAR 64 1000W lamps are alternative solutions to glass PAR lamps: FFN (VNSP), FFP (NSP), FFR (MFL) and FFS (WFL).
In addition, aluPAR is an ECOLOGIC product, which indicates that it is environmentally preferable. ECOLOGIC products are engineered to pass the Federal TCLP (Toxic Characteristic Leaching Procedure) test for hazardous waste determination. At the end of life, the glass and aluminum are recyclable.
The aluPAR 64 series of lamps works nicely with the SYLVANIA PAR-1 socket making this the perfect system solution.
Using aluPAR lamps you save on both shipping and transportation costs. In addition, you can save money on gels as aluPAR lamps send less heat forward, thus increasing gel life.
