Dallas-Fort Worth Drivers Can Now Donate Cars to Fund Commissary Grants

DALLAS, Texas - Mustard Farms Ministries is now accepting vehicle donations across Dallas-Fort Worth through DonateACar.io, giving Metroplex drivers a way to turn hail damage, high miles, and spare vehicles into commissary grants for incarcerated people. The program accepts cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, and boats - running or not - with free tow pickup across the metro.

Donors call 855-500-RIDE (855-500-7433) or visit the donation pages for Dallas at https://donateacar.io/texas/dallas/ and Fort Worth at https://donateacar.io/texas/fort-worth/ to schedule a free tow. Pickup covers Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Frisco, Irving, Garland, and the surrounding suburbs. CARS, an established national vehicle-donation processor, handles the auction and directs net proceeds to Mustard Farms Ministries' charitable programs, including commissary grants - soap, stamps, hygiene items, and writing supplies for people behind bars.

North Texas hailstorms are a fact of life, and so is the aftermath: a perfectly good SUV with a dimpled hood and a cracked windshield that no dealer wants at trade-in. A hail-damaged car that books for almost nothing at a dealership still carries real auction value, because CARS sells through the same national auction lanes dealers use - cosmetic damage barely touches the proceeds. The Metroplex sprawls so wide that many families keep a third car purely as a backup, parked through spring storm season. When a driveway holds more cars than drivers, the least-used vehicle can still carry full donation value.

Texas donors sign the vehicle title over at pickup; CARS takes care of the transfer paperwork. Every donor receives a free hotel stay as a thank-you: the room rate is covered and the donor pays taxes and fees, with full terms published on the program's website. For qualifying sales over $500, the processor issues IRS Form 1098-C paperwork. Donors considering the tax implications of a donation should consult their own tax advisor; the organization does not provide tax advice.

The program serves donors across Texas and the United States, with free towing nationwide.
