Singapore Semiconductor Prices

Epignosis Insights' monthly pricing tracker covers DRAM, NAND, foundry wafer, equipment and export price trends, with a Q4 2026 outlook

Singapore semiconductor prices remain on an upward path in September 2026, but the rate of increase is starting to ease. That is the central finding of the "Singapore Semiconductor Industry Pricing Tracker - September 2026" from Epignosis Insights, which tracks monthly price movements across the memory, foundry, equipment and trade segments that shape Singapore's chip economy. The tracker describes current conditions as "firm and rising, with slowing momentum."

Why Singapore Matters for Global Chip Pricing

Singapore is a major producer of memory, specialty wafers and semiconductor equipment, so price movements here reflect wider global trends. The strength of the current cycle is also visible in the local economy: the Ministry of Trade and Industry upgraded Singapore's 2026 GDP growth forecast to 4.5-5.5%, citing the acceleration in global AI-related capital expenditure. For buyers and suppliers, tracking Singapore semiconductor prices offers an early view of cost trends across Asia's electronics supply chain.

What Is Driving Singapore Semiconductor Prices in 2026?

AI infrastructure spending is the main force behind today's semiconductor price cycle. Hyperscale cloud providers and enterprises are buying large volumes of AI processors, servers, memory and networking hardware, tightening supply across multiple chip categories. Gartner now expects worldwide semiconductor revenue to reach US$1.6 trillion in 2026, up 92% from 2025, with much of that growth driven by higher prices rather than volumes. For Singapore's memory, foundry and equipment producers, this means pricing has become the key driver of revenue and margins.

DRAM and NAND Contract Prices: How Much Are They Rising?

Memory is the most important price category for Singapore, home to Micron's NAND fabs and a new HBM advanced packaging facility. According to TrendForce, conventional DRAM contract prices are set to rise 13-18% quarter-on-quarter in 3Q26, and NAND Flash contract prices 10-15%. These gains are smaller than earlier in 2026 because record prices are pushing PC and smartphone makers toward their affordability limits.

Server Memory Outperforms Consumer Memory

Epignosis Insights sees a clear divergence. Server DRAM and enterprise SSDs continue to benefit from AI inference and data-center demand, with a growing share of volume covered by long-term agreements. Consumer memory, by contrast, is meeting resistance as device makers raise retail prices and cut orders. Micron's results show the scale of the price effect, with fiscal third-quarter 2026 revenue of US$41.46 billion, up from US$23.86 billion in the previous quarter.

Mature-Node Foundry Price Increases in 2026 and 2027

Foundry wafer prices for mature and specialty nodes are also climbing. UMC, which runs its Fab12i campus in Singapore, has told customers to expect a wafer price adjustment in the second half of 2026. Morgan Stanley estimates, as reported by Yahoo Finance, point to 5-10% increases in 2H26 and another 5-10% in 2027, with power-management and microcontroller chips most affected. This is significant for Singapore, where UMC, GlobalFoundries, SSMC and the upcoming VSMC fab focus on mature and specialty processes.

What It Means for Chip Buyers

Higher wafer prices raise input costs for chip designers serving automotive, industrial and consumer markets. Epignosis Insights recommends that buyers dependent on Singapore-made specialty chips secure capacity and pricing through long-term agreements ahead of the 2027 round of increases.

Singapore Electronics Exports Surge 131.8% in August 2026

Rising prices are clearly visible in trade data. Singapore's electronics non-oil domestic exports jumped 131.8% year-on-year in August 2026, according to Enterprise Singapore, with disk media products, personal computers and integrated circuits leading the increase. Total NODX rose 46.2%, the fastest pace since 1988. Epignosis Insights links much of this growth to higher unit values, supported by a low base in 2025.

Producer Prices and Equipment Pricing

Singapore's producer prices are also moving higher. The Department of Statistics Singapore reported a 2.5% month-on-month rise in the Singapore Manufactured Products Price Index in July 2026, while export prices were flat. In equipment, SEMI reported record global billings of US$40.53 billion in 2Q26, a positive sign for Singapore's toolmakers but a cost pressure for new fab projects.

Singapore Semiconductor Price Outlook for Q4 2026

Epignosis Insights expects prices to remain higher in Q4 2026 than in Q3 across most categories, with the following directional outlook:
• DRAM and NAND Flash: moderate increases as consumer demand softens.
• HBM: stable to firm, largely set by annual contracts.
• Mature-node foundry wafers: firm, with further hikes expected into 2027.
• Semiconductor equipment: firm, supported by continued fab investment.

Key risks include consumer demand destruction, trade-policy changes, inventory build-ups at cloud providers and fading export base effects.
