Peter J. Burns III Appears on Veteran on the Move to Talk About Service and Financial Security

Peter J. Burns III, the founder and CEO of Burns Funding, a venture debt lender that helps entrepreneurs and investors creatively obtain funding for their businesses, recently participated in the Veteran on the Move podcast.

The company's latest approach involves the use of shelf corporations to obtain funding. Specifically, Burns Funding has built partnerships across the industry with specialists in securing shelf corporations and leveraging them to obtain capital.

Burns Funding doesn't stop there. The firm recently introduced the Burns Funding Method (BFM), which effectively promises clients that it will service the loans it obtains on their behalf in exchange for a percentage of the capital it secures. The company is able to do this because it has developed a portfolio of passive investment vehicles that generate income, such as online stores and exotic car rental businesses.

Many of these individuals first secured their capital through Burns Funding to service the five-figure startup cost for an Amazon store, as well as the credit capacity to support inventory purchases.

Increasingly, however, other individuals have approached Burns Funding to take advantage of its preferential pricing with its online store partner.

"Because of the volume that we provide to the partner, we have preferred pricing on the startup cost," Burns said.

About Peter J. Burns III

Based in La Jolla, California, Peter J. Burns III grew up in a well-established New England family in New Canaan, Connecticut. He was educated at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School at West Point, the University of Virginia (UVA), and Harvard Business School's Owner/President Management Program. While his two younger brothers went on to have successful traditional business careers, Burns chose the path of a startup entrepreneur.

Over the years, Burns has started hundreds of businesses. In the early 2000s, he moved to Arizona and became a pro bono adjunct faculty member at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University.
