SOUL OF AFRIKA Gallery Celebrates Its 4th Anniversary in Munich

Two days of African art, world-class sculptures, a fashion show, and an Afrobeat party on Lindwurmstrasse.

On June 5 and 6, 2026, SOUL OF AFRIKA Gallery will celebrate its fourth anniversary with an extraordinary cultural program that brings together contemporary African art, international artists, fashion, and music. Here, art is not presented in isolation but is understood as a vibrant, transcultural dialogue between disciplines, perspectives, and forms of expression.

World-Class Sculptures: Bryan Cusack Travels from South Africa

A special highlight of the program is the new exhibition by South African sculptor Bryan Cusack, who is traveling to Munich in person from Durban.

Cusack is one of the most renowned artists in his field and captivates audiences with monumental sculptures made from driftwood collected along the coasts of the Indian Ocean. His works are part of international collections; among others, Princess Charl?ne of Monaco owns one of his sculptures.

For the anniversary, Bryan Cusack presents a new exclusive collection and offers insights into the creation of his works. His pieces navigate the realms of nature, transformation, and material memory--and tell stories of origin, time, and Africa.

Fashion Meets Culture: "Dirndl ? l'Africaine"

Noh Nee's fashion show takes an interdisciplinary approach, combining contemporary fashion design with cultural dialogue. Under the title "Noh Nee meets Contemporary Design," a visual narrative emerges about cultural hybridity and stylistic redefinition.

Noh Nee reinterprets traditional African fabrics and combines them with classic elements of the Bavarian dirndl to create an elegant, contemporary aesthetic. The focus is on the tension between heritage and the present--and the question of how cultural identities can be redefined in contemporary designs.

Afrobeats, House, and Gallery Vibes

With DJ Lino, the program expands into the musical realm. Blending Afrobeats, House, and international club sounds, an atmosphere emerges where art, music, and social interaction merge.

The afterparty is not intended as a conclusion, but as a continuation of the evening--a space for exchange, inspiration, and shared celebration.
