Donald Deibler Encourages Stronger Communities Through Local

Pennsylvania business leader Donald Deibler is advocating for greater community involvement and stronger support of local businesses to help sustain small towns and local economies.

Pennsylvania, USA, 22nd May 2026, ZEXPRWIRE - Donald Deibler, Business Manager of All Stars Ice Cream & Café Bakery and a key operational leader behind Dead Horse Beer & Burritos, is speaking out about the growing importance of supporting local businesses and staying involved in the community.

Drawing on years of hands-on experience in hospitality and small-business operations, Deibler believes that strong communities and strong local businesses depend on one another.

"Local businesses are part of the community," Deibler says. "They're not separate from it. When communities support local businesses, those businesses are able to give back and help the area grow."

Deibler has spent much of his career working directly with customers, employees, and local organizations. In addition to his business responsibilities, he supports youth sports programs, volunteers within the community, and helps organize donations for local causes.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, small businesses account for more than 99% of businesses in the United States and employ nearly half of the country's workforce. Studies also show that money spent at local businesses is more likely to stay in the local economy than spending at large national chains.

For Deibler, those numbers reflect something he sees every day in small-town Pennsylvania.

"When local businesses succeed, communities benefit," he says. "Jobs stay local. Relationships stay local. The money keeps moving through the town instead of leaving it."

Deibler believes one of the biggest challenges facing small businesses today is maintaining long-term community engagement while navigating rising costs and operational pressures.

"Customers have more choices than ever," he says. "That means businesses have to earn trust consistently. You can't just focus on sales. You have to focus on people."

His leadership style has become known for being hands-on and operationally focused. Rather than managing from a distance, Deibler works directly alongside employees and remains involved in daily operations.

"You understand a business better when you're actually part of the work," he says. "That also helps build stronger teams because employees see that leadership is involved."

Deibler says local business owners also have a responsibility to contribute back to the communities supporting them. Through business donations and volunteer efforts, he has remained involved with organizations such as Tri Valley Little League and St. Peter's UCC.

"Being part of a town means showing up," he says. "Not just during business hours, but in ways that actually help the community."

Research from multiple economic studies has shown that communities with strong local business ecosystems often experience higher civic engagement and stronger local networks. Deibler believes those connections matter now more than ever.

"A good business should become part of the community fabric," he says. "People remember businesses that stay involved and treat people right."

While technology and consumer habits continue to evolve, Deibler believes the core principles behind successful businesses remain consistent.

"People still value reliability, honesty, and good service," he says. "Those things never really go out of style."

Deibler is encouraging individuals to support local businesses in practical ways, whether that means shopping locally, attending community events, volunteering time, or supporting youth organizations connected to local businesses.

"You don't have to make huge changes," he says. "Even small support makes a difference when enough people participate."

As communities across the country continue adapting to economic and social changes, Deibler hopes more business owners and residents recognize the value of staying connected locally.

"Communities grow when people stay invested in them," he says. "That applies to businesses too."
