Awtomated Receives German Government Approval Under the INVEST - Zuschuss für Wagniskapital Programme

Awtomated, a Berlin-based software company serving the translation industry, has received official approval from the German Federal Government under the INVEST - Zuschuss für Wagniskapital programme. The approval recognises the company as a qualifying innovative startup and marks a significant milestone in its mission to modernise how language service providers manage their operations.
INVEST is a federal grant programme created to encourage private investment in young, high-growth companies. Under the scheme, investors who back an approved company can claim 20 percent of their investment back as a direct grant from the German government. For Awtomated, this means an investor committing 50,000 euros effectively spends 40,000 euros once the grant is applied. Approval is not automatic. Companies must demonstrate genuine innovation and clear growth potential before the federal government grants eligibility, making the decision a meaningful external validation of the company's technology and direction.
"We built Awtomated because we saw language agencies losing hours every week to manual work that software should handle on its own," said Rishi Anand, CEO of Awtomated. Founded in 2024 by a team of language and technology professionals, Awtomated builds a Translation Business Management System (TBMS) for small and mid-sized language service providers, agencies long underserved by software priced and designed for large enterprises. The platform brings core business operations, including client and vendor management, multilingual project workflows, invoicing, translation memory, and AI-assisted translation, into a single system priced at 19 euros per user per month.
The company was shaped by firsthand experience of the problem it solves. Anand spent more than 15 years in the language industry as a translator, an agency owner, and a buyer of translation services. After searching unsuccessfully for a management system that was both affordable and flexible, he set out to build one.
Awtomated is already live and signing customers across Europe and the Americas, with integrations spanning DeepL, Microsoft Translator, Gmail, and Outlook. Planned development includes AI-powered reporting, calendar scheduling for interpreters, and deeper content management integrations.
