Global Top10: German Blog Combats Polarisation & AI Filters (Series 'Future Under Pressure' Part 2)

Michael Stuber on the importance of information diversity as a safeguard against filter bubbles ( (C) Stuber, Photo: Anja Viering)
Cologne, May 15, 2026 - Who would have thought that a German knowledge portal on culture, DEI, and leadership, of all things, would rank among the global leaders in its field? Long before today's debates on AI and polarisation, a Cologne-based team began systematically categorising, curating, and publishing content on culture, DEIB, leadership, and social change. Today, the 'DiversityMine' comprises around 2,000 expert articles in two languages - and has been listed among the global top 10 by the international provider Feedspot since 2025.
Breadth, depth, reliability, and accessibility help get outside the box
For years, filter bubbles, echo chambers, and misinformation have limited the insight available to people - and companies. AI intensifies the issue with oversimplifications and deepfakes. For the business world, AI presents opportunities as well as harsh risks that are too often overlooked. "When decisions are based on selective information, strategy becomes a gamble," warns Michael Stuber, the creator and curator of the TopBlog. For over 20 years, he has advocated for an evidence-based approach to culture, DEIB, and leadership.
Human mechanisms - understandable and dangerous
Many people are aware of the danger of disinformation and go online - with the best of intentions. But search engines, social media, and AI models don't provide a broad picture, but rather pre-filtered snapshots. They amplify preferences and preconceptions - and reinforce tunnel vision and polarisation almost unnoticed. Searchable, editorially curated archives are therefore an important complement to algorithmically filtered information.
Global Top Ranking as a Reward for Content Against Polarisation
Publications began in 1997, the first newsletters in 2002, and as early as 2014, the KnowledgeBlog launched - in two languages with eight categories, ten tags, and over 1,000 posts at the time; today, around 2,000. Continuous publishing efforts and technical updates paid off: In May 2025, DiversityMine landed in the top 10 of the information provider Feedspot, which, according to its own statements, had "curated thousands of blogs on the web and ranked them by relevancy, authority, social media followers & freshness". For Stuber, the award is above all a confirmation of long-term informational work: "From the very beginning, we have stood for evidence-based approaches, diversity of perspectives, and constructive guidance in complex times." Today, he says, this is more important than ever.
