Greek Branch of the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia Royalist Society Officially Established

The Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia Royalist Society is pleased to announce the official establishment of its Greek branch, marking a significant milestone in the international development of the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia and its cultural and historical mission. This expansion reflects the growing interest across Europe in the legacy, symbolism, and contemporary role of the Monarchy in exile, as well as in the work carried out under the leadership of its ninth legitimate Prince, H.R.H. Prince Antoine V.

Originally founded in Bath, United Kingdom, the Royalist Society was created to support the Kingdom's institutional continuity, promote awareness of its history, and strengthen international understanding of the Mapuche people and their heritage. Its mission is rooted in the historic Futa Kollog of 17 November 1860, a foundational assembly held in Wallmapu, during which H.R.H. Orellie‐Antoine I was recognised as sovereign with the assent of the traditional Mapuche authorities. This moment remains a defining chapter in the Kingdom's identity and continues to guide its cultural and diplomatic activities today.

The newly established Greek branch, based in Athens, will be led by Dr Andreas Rovilos, Baron of Navarino, OCA. His appointment represents an important step in strengthening the Kingdom's visibility in Southern Europe and in fostering new cultural, academic, and historical exchanges. Through his leadership, the Greek branch aims to contribute to a broader understanding of the Kingdom's origins, its symbolic role, and its ongoing commitment to promoting the culture, identity, and rights of the Mapuche people.

This new chapter reinforces the international presence of the Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia, whose activities continue to attract growing attention from researchers, cultural institutions, and supporters worldwide. The Society remains committed to preserving the historical legacy of the Kingdom while encouraging dialogue, education, and cultural diplomacy across borders.
