Thanks to its long-standing collaboration with the globally successful street artist Mr. Brainwash, FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE regularly receives new works of art from Los Angeles directly from the artist's studio. The gallery has just received a new batch of unique pieces featuring the motif "Work Well Together."

Frank Fluegel Galerie has represented the artist Mr. Brainwash, whose real name is Thierry Guetta, in German-speaking countries since 2012. Following the auction record in London for a Banksy painting at Sotheby's in London in 2019, street art is increasingly becoming the focus of international collectors. Rapidly rising prices and high demand are the logical consequence. Born in 1966 as Thierry Guetta in Garges-lès-Gonesse near Paris, the artist has lived in Los Angeles since the age of 15. It was therefore in Los Angeles that the first Mr. Brainwash exhibition, "Life is Beautiful," took place in 2008. It quickly became a crowd-puller, attracting more than 50,000 visitors. In 2009, singer Madonna commissioned Mr. Brainwash to design the album cover for "Celebration." The breakthrough came in 2010: Mr. Brainwash became world famous through the award-winning and Oscar-nominated documentary "Exit Through the Gift Shop," in which he accompanied his friend and street art legend Banksy at work. This also brought him into the street art scene and he began to create art. From that point on, Mr. Brainwash was a phenomenon, a superstar who conquered the art world in record time. In February 2010, the second exhibition, "Life Is Beautiful: Icons," opened in New York on 1,400 square meters and was completely sold out after just a few days. Numerous exhibitions followed in England, Germany, France, and most recently in Seoul. A lengthy interview has just been published in Paris Match. From December 2022 to February 2026, there was even a dedicated Mr. Brainwash Art Museum in Beverly Hills, which quickly became a magnet for visitors.

Since 2012, FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE has organized numerous solo shows and exhibitions with Mr. Brainwash in its gallery spaces in Nuremberg, Kitzbühel, Sylt, and Dubai. In winter 2025/2026, unique mixed media works will once again be on display in Kitzbühel, Austria.

The exhibitions were repeatedly sold out in a short time. With stencils, stencil graffiti, screen prints, and pop culture motifs analogous to Warhol, the artist has brought urban art from the streets into the living room, merging both art forms. The surprising works mix bright colors in all kinds of combinations with sometimes controversial content. The whole thing is executed in mixed media with spray paint, painting, and collage techniques and enriched with ironic allusions, behind which a political and social message is often hidden.

To this day, Mr. Brainwash is one of the best-selling artists of our time, alongside Andy Warhol and Picasso. In addition to the USA, Europe, and Korea, Mr. Brainwash has also had numerous exhibitions in London, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Japan, and Canada. Originals by Mr. Brainwash are even available on the cruise ships of AIDA Cruises, Explora Journeys, and on the famous ships of the Cunard Line, such as the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.
