Why the height-adjustable conference table with hob is heralding a revolution in the office

But one piece of furniture has often remained rigid - until now. The furniture makers from Unterkrumbach present the world's first height-adjustable conference table made of solid wood with an integrated induction hob - setting new standards for ergonomics, sustainability, and team culture. Why this table is more than just a piece of furniture "The best ideas don't come from sitting in a meeting room, but from cooking together," says herwig Danzer, managing director of Moebelmacher. The table combines dynamic working (height adjustment for sitting/standing) with a culinary experience - perfect for team building or customer presentations. The invisible hob (induction technology) only heats the bottom of the pot, not the tabletop, and remains a surprise for guests.

Sustainability that tastes good Made from regional elm wood from the Hersbrucker Alb, the table represents Moebelmacher's "regional forest value chain" - from tree to furniture. The solid wood surfaces are renewable and will last for decades. In 2025, the company was awarded the German Sustainability Prize for this.

Technology that inspires Thanks to LINAK lifting columns, the 350 kg table can be adjusted continuously - barrier-free up to a height of 75 cm for wheelchair users. Each piece is custom-made, including media technology and cable management.

Success story: Mueller-Moers A unique 4-meter piece was created for cheese specialist Mueller-Moers (www.mueller-moers.eu), combining meetings and enjoyment. "Our customers are thrilled when the table suddenly becomes a raclette station," says Henner Vaubel (Mueller-Moers).

The company was founded in 1988 in Hersbruck near Nuremberg as a holistically oriented furniture manufacturer. In 1997, the newly founded Die Moebelmacher GmbH, which now has around 15 employees, moved into its new eco-friendly building in Unterkrumbach, where furniture and kitchens are custom-made from solid wood sourced from the region.
The range is complemented by complete furnishings for kitchens, living rooms, and workspaces, from lighting and upholstered furniture to curtains and even hi-fi systems made from local wood. They have been awarded the Sustainability Prize of the City of Nuremberg, named Bavaria's Environmental Ambassador, won the Thalhofer Prize, and since the 2005 Craftsmanship Prize, they have been ranked among the seven best German craft businesses. In 2010, they won the German Local Sustainability Prize. In 2021 and 2022, they were nominated for the Lammsbraeu Sustainability Award and the German Sustainability Award "Local Hero," and again in 2023 and 2024. In 2023, they won the IGR Innovation Award for Ergonomics, and in 2024, their workshop was named the most beautiful in Germany by the jury of the trade journal DDS. On November 28, 2024, they won the German Sustainability Award 2025 in the furniture and furnishings category.
