Football Legacy: Online football manager game launches in England
Hamburg, 09.02.2026 - Football Legacy, the new tactical online football manager game, launches its testing period in England. Players can now create their own club and compete for victories online. The free-to-play browser game offers realistic football manager features: transfers, training, scouting, detailed infrastructure, sponsor negotiations, and matches against real players. Later, it will even be possible to compete against players from all over the world.
From cinder pitch to stadium legend
Football Legacy places a special focus on long-term development and realistic club building. Unlike in fast-paced casual games, managers start at the bottom: on the cinder pitch of League 6. From here, the aim is not only to strategically strengthen the squad, but also to expand the club's facilities step by step. From a simple training ground to a modern stadium complex, each expansion unlocks new opportunities in training or revenue, making forward-thinking financial planning essential.
Developing together
Close cooperation with the community is at the heart of the philosophy. Players can provide direct feedback via Discord and social media, which is incorporated into regular updates during the testing period. The result is a football manager game that is transparently developed "by players for players."
"There will be no Pay2Win - that would be the opposite of my vision. Instead, there will be purely visual features for customizing the game!" emphasizes Johannes, founder of Football Legacy.
Interested managers can already get involved and actively support further development with their feedback. Those who prefer to wait for the official release can sign up for the newsletter to make sure they don't miss any news.

Football Legacy is a project from Hamburg led by developer Johannes, who is responsible for developing the football manager game.
At its core is a tactical online football manager game that deliberately avoids pay-to-win mechanics and instead offers only optional visual customisation.
Players start in the lower leagues and work their way up, focusing on management decisions such as squad planning and long-term club development.
