Leipzig, 19.12.2025 - A 3D-capable video wall with an area of 28 square meters was installed on a site currently under construction in Leipzig. The system was supplied by Daylite (R)Informationssysteme GmbH, Munich. The installation took place during an ongoing construction phase in which large parts of the surrounding site were still under construction.
Thanks to the combination of high refresh rate, resolution and color depth, this video wall makes it possible to create 3D animations without the obligatory glasses - visual effects at the highest level.
The installation went largely unnoticed by the public. Representatives of the client, the project planning department and the construction and installation teams took part in the trial run. Occasional observations by outsiders were limited to a few onlookers.
The timing of the installation is unusual: in comparable projects, video walls are usually only installed in a late construction phase, after the structural and technical framework conditions have been fully completed. In this case, the video wall was installed much earlier. The reasons for this deviation lie in project-specific requirements and are part of the internal construction and project planning.
"Upon completion, Leipzig will have a masterpiece of construction engineering of international standing, in which digital signage technology blends perfectly with the natural surroundings. We are delighted to be involved in this project," says Harald Schlorff, CEO of Daylite (R).
The exact location of the video wall in the center of Leipzig, further technical details as well as its later use and integration into the overall area will be published in due course. This information is expected to be announced in connection with the opening of the entire site in the first half of 2026.
Until then, the video wall will remain an inconspicuous part of an ongoing construction project in which technical components are being implemented in parallel with further building and expansion work.
