Vector Informatik sets new standards: Integration of deskMate in Moodle revolutionizes software trainings

Stuttgart, September 25, 2025 - Kivito GmbH, provider of the cloud-based training platform deskMate, announces the successful deployment of its new Moodle integration at software manufacturer Vector Informatik. The integration enables companies to seamlessly integrate virtual training computers into their learning platform - a decisive step towards more efficient training processes, as the current customer success story with Vector shows.

Vector Informatik has been using Moodle as its central learning management system for several years and at the same time relies on deskMate to provide virtual training computers worldwide for practice-intensive software training. Until recently, however, course information such as participant data, course names or start times had to be maintained twice - once in Moodle and once in deskMate. This effort is now a thing of the past.

The new deskMate-Moodle interface ensures that training courses created in Moodle also appear automatically in deskMate. Enrolments in Moodle courses immediately generate the appropriate virtual training computer - without any additional manual effort for IT. Participants can log in via their usual Moodle access and find their training computer directly in the course.

In addition to a consistent user experience, companies such as Vector Informatik also benefit from improved transparency: trainers can see at a glance which participant is using which computer. Special arrangements - such as examination environments or subsequent participant registrations - can also be easily implemented.

The solution was developed together with Moodle specialist Soon-Systems from Ulm and is already being used by several customers. Thanks to the open API, integration is not limited to Moodle - other LMS platforms can also be connected.
