His reflections come at a time when work-related stress is at record highs. The American Psychological Association reports that 77% of people regularly experience physical symptoms of stress, and burnout rates are climbing, especially among professionals balancing careers and family.

Plunkett's advice is practical. He keeps what he calls a 'three wins journal' each day. "It could be solving a tax issue, helping a client understand their situation, or fixing a fence on the farm," he explains. "It keeps me focused on progress instead of problems."

He also stresses the value of honesty in the face of setbacks. "I once missed a major filing deadline. I admitted it, fixed it, and the client stayed with me because I was honest. Mistakes don't ruin relationships. Hiding them does."

Plunkett encourages people to redefine success for themselves by focusing on small, steady wins. "Write down three wins at the end of each day," he says. "You'll see progress in ways that don't always show up on a balance sheet.".
