PCB expertise from Krefeld bundled - PRECOPLAT and MicroCirtec merge

PRECOPLAT Präzisions-Leiterplatten-Technik GmbH is undergoing a strategic realignment: With effect from 01.08.2025, MicroCirtec Micro Circuit Technology GmbH has been fully merged into PRECOPLAT GmbH. As a result, MicroCirtec was dissolved as an independent company - all business relationships, rights and obligations were transferred in full to PRECOPLAT.

What at first glance appears to be a purely formal step actually means: more clarity, more efficiency and more performance - for our customers and partners.

The merger is the result of consistent strategic development. PRECOPLAT is pursuing the goal of integrating consulting, processes and resources even more closely and uniting them under one roof. "By concentrating on PRECOPLAT as a strong brand, we are pooling our expertise - and will be able to provide our customers with even better and more targeted advice in future," says Andreas BRÜGGEN, Managing Director of PRECOPLAT. Katharina VÖLKER, also Managing Director of PRECOPLAT, adds: "For our customers, this step means continuity and reliability. Together with our dedicated team, we want to ensure our high quality standards and at the same time be able to react flexibly to new requirements."

For MicroCirtec's customers and business partners, the merger will not result in any changes to day-to-day business:

* Existing contracts will remain valid without restriction.
* Invoices and all business documents will be issued under the new company name PRECOPLAT from the effective date of the merger.
* MicroCirtec customer numbers will be continued under the new company name to ensure consistent documentation.
* Contact persons, telephone numbers and the business address remain unchanged.
* E-mail addresses will in future be _@precoplat.de; the old @microcirtec.de addresses will be forwarded for the time being.
* The online calculator (online store) is now available at store.precoplat.de; previous login data remains valid and all order histories have been transferred.
* The production of printed circuit boards continues to take place entirely at the same location in Krefeld - with the usual quality - _Made in Germany_.

With the new structure, PRECOPLAT is creating the basis for more digital consistency, a clearer external image and optimized internal processes. Two companies will now become one even stronger partner - with the usual high reliability, precision, customer focus and quality at all levels.

The family business PRECOPLAT is managed in the second generation by the siblings Andreas BRÜGGEN and Katharina VÖLKER and produces highly automated and in all series sizes - unpopulated single and double-sided PCBs, multilayers up to 24 layers and semi-flexible PCBs at the production site in NRW, which has grown to 25,000 square meters.

The story of PRECOPLAT begins in the early 1970s in the cellar of a nightclub: inspired by the movie "Saturday Night Fever", restaurateur Manfred VÖLKER wanted to jump on the bandwagon of modern disco equipment with an elaborate lighting and sound design. In order to save costs, VÖLKER developed circuits based on copper-coated Pertinax plates together with some electronics students who were "in his pocket" due to excessive partying. Tired of years of catering, but keenly interested in this technology, VÖLKER saw the commercial prospects of the printed circuit board and founded PRECOPLAT Präzisions-Leiterplatten-Technik GmbH in Krefeld in 1977.

To this day, the entire manufacturing process - from work preparation to final electrical testing - takes place under one roof. PRECOPLAT has thus developed from a former "basement child" into a highly modern medium-sized company with currently around 75 employees and an annual turnover of twelve million euros.
