Open Catwalk: Show your style at the “Biggest street fashion show in the world“ in Krefeld, Germany

Düsseldorf / Krefeld, Germany. On September 19th and 20th 2009, the “Biggest Street Fashion Show in the World“ takes place in Krefeld. Fashion designers and exciting labels present themselves on seves stages. The audience experience more than 100 hours fashion presentation with numerous fashion shows. Over 100 professional models show the latest fashion trends open air. For the first time amateur models and fashion-freaks are sought who want to present their favorite outfit on the open catwalk. "With Open Catwalk we create a stage for fashion interested people who want to present an exceptional style and involve the visitors into the event directly," says Gerd Müller-Thomkins, DMI Managing Director of the Deutsches Modeinstitut - German Fashion Institute in Cologne.
Open Catwalk is organized by styleranking in cooperation with the German Fashion Institute. Before the big show is getting started, the participants will get a professional make-up and styling. A professional photographer cares about their best shots on the catwalk. After their walk on the stage, moderator Svenja Klein interviews the open catwalk models live to their favourite outfit.
The winners of the four open catwalk slots will be honored with a make-up package of Manhattan Cosmetics on stage. As the jury, young designer Eva Wickerath and Roland Schweins CEO of styleranking will choose the most stylish outfits. In addition, the winners will be presented on the styleranking fashion blog with an interview.
"With this campaign, we are creating a connection to the offline world for our online community members", says Roland Schweins, founder of the online fashion community styleranking, “many fashion victims have already applied yet for showing their outfits to a large public on the catwalk in addition to their profiles in the online community. We fulfil this desire with open catwalk."
Interested people can still apply until September 17th 2009 to participate on the Open Catwalk via e-mail to support at styleranking dot de with a full-body shot and an exciting oufit. An important criterion: It is not sought a certain type of woman / man with the minimum model dimensions after. Rather styleranking likes to present people on stage who live their personal style. The fashion stands in the foreground - not the model.

Sunday, September 20th 2009, 02:15 p.m. and 04:30 p.m.
