The first half of 2025 was a remarkable journey for the Gesellschaft für Arbeitsmethodik e.V. (GfA). With an impressive series of events, renowned speakers and groundbreaking topics, the GfA has reaffirmed its position as a driving force for innovative working methods, digital transformation and ethical leadership. Here we present a comprehensive overview of the outstanding events, speakers and key insights that have shaped the first six months.

Keycloak & IT security: Robert Bauer's exciting insights

The year started with a bang: Robert Bauer (Intension) , a renowned IT expert, wowed the audience with his presentation on Keycloak, a robust identity and access management solution. The participants were particularly enthusiastic about Bauer's practical insights and his vision of how companies can improve their IT security through open source solutions. The fascinating discussions ranged from single sign-on systems to data protection and compliance and provided an exciting start to this year's events.

Innovation in talent acquisition: gamification as the key to Generation Z

In February, the focus was on attracting young talent, in particular the event "Innovation in talent acquisition". Simon Uceda from Simo Games showed how gamification can effectively integrate Generation Z into the recruitment process. By combining playful elements with modern communication channels, participants were given valuable strategies to creatively navigate the highly competitive talent market.

STELLA - Inspiring leadership

An outstanding workshop entitled "STELLA - The path to inspirational leadership", led by Andre Hölscher from Stella Coaching, presented a holistic approach for modern leaders. The workshop emphasized self-reflection, empathy and sustainable motivation. Hölscher provided participants with practical tools to not only lead but also inspire their teams. The feedback was consistently positive and many participants gained transformative insights that changed their approach to leadership.

A milestone of insight: digital ethics, AI and intangible assets

On May 20, 2025, an in-depth webinar led by Otto Obert, founder of Main Digithalethiker GmbH, and moderator Klaus Lichtenauer explored the intersection of digital ethics, artificial intelligence and intangible assets. The discussion focused on integrating ethical and moral principles into the development and application of the European Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA). Otto Obert clearly explained what the European Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA) means and emphasized the importance of ethics in technology development using practical examples, such as the Boeing 737 MAX8 incidents. This event was celebrated as a milestone of knowledge and triggered profound and meaningful discussions.

Revolutionizing corporate security: Passkeys as a game changer

In June, corporate security was the focus of the "Revolutionizing Corporate Security" event, which offered exciting insights into the world of passkeys. Sebastian Ike from Bare ID explained how passkeys are replacing traditional passwords and thus improving security measures in companies. The discussion emphasized the benefits of biometric authentication and the challenges of cross-platform implementation. Participants were given practical tips on how to protect against today's digital vulnerabilities.

Artificial intelligence in the skilled trades: opportunities and challenges

The GfA also examined the impact of AI on the skilled trades sector. Sebastian Nießen from Topfloor illustrated how innovative AI solutions can revolutionize traditional craft businesses - from automating administrative tasks to improving customer service and production efficiency. The ethical aspects and the need for responsible use of AI were also emphasized, highlighting the exciting future of human-machine collaboration in the skilled trades.

Digital vulnerabilities: Identifying and fixing vulnerabilities

The half-year ended with an exciting session on 'Digital Vulnerabilities' in modern businesses. Ermin Abazi from Quantum Phone shed light on current threat scenarios, identified typical vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures and offered concrete strategies for minimizing risk. Participants benefited from practical case studies that deepened their understanding of cyber security.

Conclusion: Six months of innovation, inspiration and responsibility

The GfA e.V. events in the first half of 2025 have impressively illustrated how important it is to combine technological innovation with ethical responsibility and methodological expertise. Thanks to the commitment and passion of our speakers and moderators Klaus Lichtenauer and Dr. Dr. Brigitte E.S. Jansen, participants were not only able to expand their knowledge, but also gain new perspectives for their practice. The GfA continues to be a role model for all those who want to shape the future of working methods, digitalization and leadership. We look forward to an equally exciting second half of the year!
